I got a question from a Customer asking:

How to Register SIM 5.1 without Internet Access at the CMS?

What happens if I don't register?

I don't think any thing will happen, i have some company that are not register with out any internet access.

You may maybe not given access to full service from hp and may be still you could, not very important.

You don't really need Internet access at the CMS at the point of registration.

You need Internet access of some sort because, the process is that you go to the registration web page (search the HP site for "HP Systems Insight Manager Registration"), fill out the info and HP will send you an e-mail with a link to download your license key. You can print that out and go enter it into the CMS.

I don't know if the CMS tries to access the Internet afterwards, though.

You may use the below URL and fill in the necessary details to get the Registration key, as a PDF file.

Even though HP SIM is not registered you wonâ t loose any functionality.

HP SIM will not contact Internet unless you have installed plug-inâ s such as RSSM etc
