    <description>I have checked all that and they are up and from the systems management page at 127.0.0.1 I cannot access it. But I can Ping te same name and to check I put the entry in the Host file. Any other Ideas?</description>

      <description>If all ports are open and a machine is on the production network, then why when configuring the VCA software would you get "the version control agent encountered an error while obtaining the software and firmware inventory".</description>

      <description>This usually indicates that VCA can't login to the VCRM, either because of bad credentials or DNS name.  Depending on your network, you may need to use the FQDN to reach the VCRM or in some cases IP address.  That is, of course, assuming that the VCRM is up and available.</description>
