    <description>No, if a device is so intent on sending it messages, HP SIM doesn't care.  This shouldn't be happening, and the best thing is to figure out what is making it happen.</description>

      <title>SIM Event Burst</title>

      <description>I have Systems Insight Manager 5.1 and I have a question about traps coming in from a managed node.  I received  about 40,000 events within 20 minutes, for a failing disk array.  Is there any message correlation for duplicate message.</description>

      <description>Thanks for the help I didn't think there was any ECS in SIM but I wanted to make sure.  I have set up event collections for events older than 2 days, and then a scheduled task to delete that collection anytime new events are reported.</description>
