Riks,

With the new version of PSP, it now uses the HP Software Update Manager to install the files. In my case, I run hpsum.exe /s /reboot /reboot_delay 7.

Run hpsum /help to see the different switches available.

/r[eboot] This argument causes the server (or host server in a remote installation) to reboot if the following conditions are met:
* The /reboot option has been selected or given as a command line argument.
* All components selected for installation were successfully installed.
* At least one of the components installed
required a reboot to complete its installation.

In you case you should simply run hpsum.exe /s. No reboots will occur until you push the button.

Hi

We used to use "/reboot-never" to suppress the reboot, but it doesn't seem to work any more for PSP 7.90.
In the old versions, this argument seems to have been the hidden one as when I looked up for help, it wasn't mentioned.

Does anybody know what argument I can use?

Many thanks in advance!

Regards
Riks

Hello Riks,
I am not sure about the "arguments" but sure can refer you to the cause.
Refer:
http://forums12.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/questionanswer.do?admit=109447627+1198054879819+28353475&threadId=1175648

Regards.

;-)

Happy Dude,

Sorry, I should be been more clear?!

I want to script to install PSP7.90.
We have been using "setupc.exe /reboot-never /use-latest /silent" to install the older PSP, but it doesn't seem to work any more.

The parameter "/reboot-never" is no longer recognised. If i don't use the parameter, the server gets rebooted after the installation which I want to suppress......

Thanks!!!

Regards
Riks

Hi Folks,

I have previously used the syntax:-

"c:\setupc.exe /f /silent /use-latest /reboot-always"

Having read the cli help file it looks like setupc.exe has been replaced by hpsum.exe and /use-latest is not defined any more.

Could someone please clarify what syntax I should use in place of the text above? (I do want to use the latest drivers).

Thanks.

Al
