topic Automatic Event Handling Task generates multiple actions in Server Management - Systems Insight Manager

Hi all,

I created a task to send an email if a system goes down, and it is generating multiple actions each time it fires. I'm fairly sure that it is executing the action both for the current event for all past "System is unreachable" events for the same system; i.e., if this is the fifth time 10.3.2.1 has been unreachable since I installed SIM, I get five emails.

In the task definition, I am specifying events where "Severity is Critical" and systems where "hardware status is Critical."

I'm including a screenshot which shows the task results, including five email actions.

Has anyone else had this problem? Should the task be defined differently?

Thanks,
- Steve
