topic Insight Management Agents SNMP Write in Server Management - Systems Insight Manager

I am trying to manage some windows 2003 servers in the DMZ from the LAN. Setting the file system space used thresholds fails.
I've tried to run Configure or Repair Agents but this fails. Perhaps because of firewall?
How would I set the snmp writes on the dmz servers? Presumably the im agents need to know the community string that has write acess.

Thanks,
Mark

I'd already tried this before my first post but it turns out I just needed to persevere.

I set a Read Write community string with the serial no. of the server (Any string would likely do).
I was able to set the file system space thresholds after this.

What I still don't understand is how the agents know to connect with that community sring. Isn't that the only method they have of making changes?

Mark
