Well, in fact I didn't solve that specific problem.

I'm not sure why this is being caused. What I do know is that my EVA management works now. (I actually removed the whole EVA management server from HP SIM and did a new discover, after that it worked.)

WBEM was supported and is also detected a SMI-S CIMOM service.

Hi,

I guess this is a simple question but I must be overlooking something.
I've added 2 systems to HP SIM:

One is a clean Windows 2003 station on which WBEM is working correctly.

The second is the EVA Management Server, on were WBEM isn't functioning.

I've tested a connection with wbemdisco and this is what I got:
*** Error connecting with SSL=true - User xxx\xxx is not authenticated/authorized to perform operation EnumerateClassNames (CIM_ERR_ACCESS_DENIED) ***

What rights do I need to set and were are they needed? I'm validating with the Domain Admin account and both servers are domain member.

So in short I cannot figure out which rights I'm missing?

Many thanks in advance,
Cheers,
K

Check to see if the account you are using to connect WBEM is able to login CVE.

If not, add that account to the local "HP Storage Admins"-group on the CVE server
