I have one server that lists 2 IP addresses (172.21.173.33 and 172.21.173.55) under the "address" section of the management processor in HPSIM. When this happens another server I have, whose iLO is 172.21.173.33, the iLO is not recognzied as a entry in HPSIM. I have already tried to reset the iLOs on both systems, and it works for a time, but then reverts back to only one iLO being detected.

What I mean is that it still only recognizes one iLO or the other, not both.

Andrew,

Go into your Daily Identification task and remove the "Status Polling" group and add only the "All Servers" group. What this will do is prevent the Daily Indetification task from causing the conflict again. You really don't need to run a daily identify on the Management Processors. There is nothing new for them to change worth identifying :)

We ran into this problem quite a bit. Still have 20 or so ILO's that like to steal each other's IP's when being identified. We have a script that automatically populates SIM from our hardware asset DB and notice 20 or so ILO's that constantly are in a round robin when it initiates.

I am currently testing to see if this is related to old firmware. The ones having the problem seem to have older firmware... hmmm.

I am assuming Tasks > All Scheduled Tasks > Daily System identification. I try to remove the "all systems" selection from there but it just gives me a page with no items to remove.
