SIM 5.2SP2 agent install on ESX 3.5 fails

I have expanded the .tgz file for the agent into temp, and attempted to install it. When I do so I get multiple errors:

[root@server tmp]# ./installvm811.sh

I had unzipped and then untar'd. doing it all at once seems to have fixed it.
tar -zxvf hpmgmt-8.1.1-vmware3x.tgz
