topic Automatic event filtering? in Server Management - Systems Insight Manager

I'm running HP-SIM 5.2 SP2, receiving SNMP traps from various pieces of gear.

This morning a broken brocade switch in a blade rack started generating about 9000 warning messages per hour, so in about 4 hours that it ran I had a rather large event listing.

Is there any way to configure something in HP-SIM to tell it to stop accepting events from a broken piece of gear like this, or otherwise tell it to ignore what are essentially duplicate or repeat messages?

Ideally it would be something like:

Ignore any event originating from this IP address if you get more than N events in a time period of 5 minutes.

Thanks.

Alas no, not in the default behaviour.
You could use a script and have the event handler call this custom command for selected devices.
