I have a question regarding the system management homepage.
I installed this on a linux server with the rpm packages. Next, I imported the certificate of our HPSIM server with the /usr/local/hp/hpSMHSetup.pl wizard.

After finishing the wizard, hpsmhd starts successfully:
Stopping hpsmhd: [ OK ]
Starting hpsmhd: [ OK ]

When I try to browse to http://<IP of="" server="">:2381, it gives me a time-out and nothing is displayed...

Is there anything I forgot to configure?</IP>

Ok, now I can connect to the System Management Homepage of my server. It was a firewall issue.

Next issues I have now are:
- in the system management homepage, system model is displayed as "unknown". (It's a BL460C). Also the management processor is displayed as "none"

- in HPSIM there are no links to the system management homepage from the server "Tools & Links" - page

Does anyone know how I can solve this?

As noted by the previous poster, you really need to install the entire Proliant Support Package (PSP) for the Linux version you have. There is also an hpmgmt.conf.example that can be edited and used in a silent install to give a consistent installation.
