Cannot Access HP SIM Remotely

Hi

I have just installed HP SIM and can access the condole from the server using the http://localhost:280 or http:servername:280 which then directs to the https port 50000 screen to log in. However I cannot connect from my own PC vie a web browser, it cannot find the web site, does anyone know how to correct this?

Small help.

Usually you can access HTTPS:\\servername:50000 from you re PC to the server.

I tried that but it times out, using a different browser I get the following error

Error 102 (net::ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED): Unknown error.

I will remember about the points.

The server had a hyphen in its name, removed that and all works OK.

Do you have any firewall, on you re pc or between you and the system?

Check to see if your firewall is not blocking the ports.
Also make sure when using the 50000 port that you have https:// not just http:
