I have a quick question here... We have HP RX2600 IA64 server and curious to know whether this integrity server supports the installation of available latest version of ID VSE and SIM (for Windows Server 2008).

If you are talking about installing the HP SIM application (not drivers or providers) as a CMS on Windows Server 2008 IA64, no. The only IA64 version of the HP SIM application is for HP-UX. However, a Windows x86 CMS can manage your various IA64 targets...

Hi,

Yes, we are in need of setting up the CMS server and your understanding about the thread is correct. We do have only IA64 (HP RX machines)as of now.

So as you said, there is no availability of software ID VSE / SIM (CMS) version for IA64 architecture on Windows server 2008.

Is there any suggesstions on how to setup CMS server on an IA64 machine running with Windows Server 2008???

No suggestion; it's unavailable, as you can see if you access http://www.hp.com/go/hpsim --> Downloads. The assumption was that it was unlikely for Windows shops to exclusively have IA64 systems and since HP SIM etc didn't need the horsepower, customers were more likely to want to run on Windows x86.
