Hi,

I want to move the SQL database of my Insight manager (version 7) to another SQL server.
Does exist a procedure to make this ?
Can anybody help me ?

Not sure if there is any easier way, but my guess is you gotta re-install IM7 and have it re-create the new DB on the other SQL Server. Then copy the original database and overwrite the new one you made on the new SQL Server. I'm sure this question has been asked a few times in the IM7 forum. This forum is more for SIM, but my guess is SIM is exactly the same procedure.

I tend to agree that you'll need to reinstall CIM 7. There's no procedure available that I know of.

You could copy the database in advance and let then let CIM 7 use the existing database, there's an option for this during the install.

I don't think you can copy it ahead of time, CIM7 and SIM will prompt you to delete and overwrite the existing database.
