If you can stop the SIM service you can move all files in the system insight manager\log directory to a old_log directory and restart the service.

You can remove the files with the highest number from the log directory without stopping but do not leave holes because SIM could be confused if the numbering is no longer continuous.

I'm upgrading from SIM 5.3 to 6.3 and as I was going through my testing found a number of older log files. I'm wondering which can be purged vs. the ones that are active.

Path is C:\Program Files\HP\Systems Insight Manager\logs

File Names are;
mxdomainmgr.#.log (several different numbers)
mxdtf.#.log (several different numbers)
mxinventory.#.log (several different numbers)
mxinventory_log4j.log.YYYY-MM-DD (multiple)

Thanks
