topic HP SIM 7.1 in Server Management - Systems Insight Manager

Hi,

Hope I am in the right place to post this question

My SIM server gets a ton of DCOM 1009 errors I uninstalled 6.2 and did a fresh new 7.1 install..Still getting them

The initial Autodiscovery goes out and finds a ton of various stuff PC's Printers, Switches......

But subsequent discovery scans generate all these DCOM errors ,all the same error, (can't communicate with ay of the current protocols)

What needs to be done to fix this ....I don't like 100's of red X event in my system log every day

thanks

Look at the system events, and you will probably find DCOM-problems with all the server-IP`s. You have to enable (DCOM-In) in the Inbound Rules in the settings of the "WIN firewall with adv. security", although the firewall is disabled !! These Rules were disabled by default.
