Hi,

The WBEM agents need to be installed on the target system - what type of system is it?

WBEM was introduced to replace SNMP due to the lack of security on SNMP V1 and V2 -

this security issue was fixed in SNMP V3 which is both encrypted and authenticated.

If you want to use the WBEM protocol - you will need to specify the target credentials to

use on the CMS.

Hope this helps - regards,

Steve.B.

I have insight manager installed but trying to discover the only host and getting errors below. ANy ideas? Does WBEM need to be install on target machine? Can this be done manually as trying through CMS does not work for WBEM & SSH.

WBEM protocol settings are not valid/enabled for this system in HP SIM. Check yo
ur HP SIM settings for identification via WBEM.
Subscribe to WBEM / WMI Indications ................................. [FAILED

Configure SSH for host-based authentication ......................... [FAILED]
Configuration failed to complete due to the following exception:
    Connection
to the target system failed due to Connection refused: connect.Target system mig
ht be down or does not have a SSH server. The network connection problem could a
lso cause this issue.
