Installing OpenSSH from SIM 7.0 to WS2008 managed systems

Hi Guys

As the title states, I need help with installing OpenSSH via SIM version 7.0 on windows systems with windows server 2008 OS.

I have the OpenSSH server service installed on the CMS & when I try to install it via SIM on WS2003 it worked great.

Once I try it on WS2008, it fails to install. I am define proper credentials (administrator) to login to the managed systems but I get this...(see attached) which is totally unclear on where is the problem???

Please assist.

can you post the content of the detailed hp sum log file (as mentioned below in your txt) ?

C:\cpqsystem\hp\log\192.168.200.122

about return code -3 i found in hpsum manual following explanation:

FAILURE_COMPONENT_FAILED

Well not really more details in the log file...

what happens if you try to execute the cp011220.exe manually on a target system?

maybe you have to run it with "run as admin"...

I tried to execute it on the actual system with the same login user & password that I used to execute it via SIM and it works great. This user is defined as administrator...

Don't know why but, the problem is only when I run it though SIM and only on WS2008.

check the file C:\windows\system32\logfiles\firewall\pfirewall.log if any drops are reported from your HP SIMs IP Adress.

If so, your Firewall on the W2008 machine is blocking the needed port from HP SIM so that it cannot install it.

both the CMS & the managed system FW are disabled.

hm then you should open a case at HP...

BTW...I looked at the event viewer on the system i'm trying to install OpenSSH in and saw the attached errors...what does that mean? Remmeber that when I try to install this locally and not via HP SIM or SUM it works OK.
