Settings disk threshold notification

Setting the disk thresholds globally seems pretty straightforward but how do you setup email notification when the thresholds have been reached?

Under Options / Automatic Event handling
Set up an e-mail task to e-mail based on the Proliant Thresholds Events - Event Category.

Or, you could just set up generic Event handling to e-mail based on Major and Critical Events.

This is done from Insight Manager, not the Agents.

From the HPSIM screen you should have a section that lists items such as Tools, Deploy Configure etc. Options is at the right hand end.

is this in Insight Manager 7 sp2?
if it is I still can't find it. I thought I new the product well... sigh!

hi there

I release a similar reply to your question. If you're using IM7, follow the thread below. It will give you a baseline. The only thing that you will need to do is to set the notification to "when a new device or event meet the criteria instead o fthe time schedule specified in the post.

Sorry, this is the forum for HPSIM, which is the product that will replace CIM 7.

If you're new to this and starting from scratch you may want to look at getting HPSIM instead.

For one thing, setting up e-mail notification etc. is considerably easier.
