Hi,

HP Systen Management Homepage uses the OS username and password to login to homepage.

If you remember the OS username and password then you can surely log into SMH.

What version are we talking about? Version 7.1 added the OS authentication. If it is a version from before that, you should update to a current version.

Hi,

Which version of SMH are you using?

Authentication using OS username and password is the only way of logging into SMH from 7.1.

Is the machine member of a domain?

Any Windows user that is a member of the local administrators group is able to login by default. (assuming it's Windows and you have version 7.1 or later) If it's a member of a domain, you'll need to enter the username in the form of: domain\username

Hello,

As read from the above posts you need Windows local admin account. So there is nothing to retrieve. Is your server Windows, Linux or ESX ?

I didn't know HP system management password, do you mean the login password? I used iseepassword to reset my hp password, hope it works.

You need the system user like root and the system password. This should work
