Hi All..

we have noticed that the global credentials being used during discovery are being sent in the clear and it has raised a few eyebrows to say the least.

I am certainly no security or SIM expert, so I am looking for some assistance please on how best to encrypt the Global Credentials for the windows accounts used in the discovery process.

I know we can't encrypt SNMP credentials, but the WBEM and windows accounts need to be encrypted and any info would be greatly appreciated.

many thanks in advance.

Depends on the protocol. You say you are seeing the WBEM credentials on the wire in clear text? For Linux or windows systems or both? What's ports are you discovering WBEM on?
