topic How to disable iLO monitoring in Server Management - Systems Insight Manager

I have a few DL380 G4s and we don't utilize the iLO on them. However, SIM(4.2) reports these as being in a "Major" problem status. Is there a way to turn off monitoring of the iLOs?

I was getting similar issues and it was because the card was set to do dhcp by default after I flashed it. Since the iLO card was not attached to any network it produced the error. To take the iLO out of error status I went into it's settings and changed the network settings to blank.

Also I just got this info: There is a tool you can use that supposedly allows you to change the network settings without rebooting the server.
http://h18023.www1.hp.com/support/files/server/us/download/22571.html

Hope that helps.
We had the same issue on all our new G4 server until I found a post i=on here about putting "remote insight information" in the inactive agents area.

open control panel_>HP Management agents_>move "remote insight information" to the inactive agents tab.

Hopefully that works for you.
