Configuring managed servers?

Hi,

I'm still very new with HP SIM 4.1 and I'm in the process of evaulating the product. I have installed the management server and I'm in the process of configuring the managed agents.

I have a question regarding the certificates. Do I need to copy the server certificate to each managed agent and what is the best way to do that? Also do I need SSH on each agent if I only want to do software and firmware updates and monitor clusters?

Yes IM server certificate should be on each managed server.
1. Setup one agent properly i.e. with certificate, proper SNMP settings etc, with Trust mode "Trust ALL"
2. Replicate all these settings to all other
3. Change trust mode to *Trust by certificate*
4. Replicate again

SSH is only necessary when you intend to use command prompt commands from IM
