Receving this error.
fopen of file /etc/opt/resmon/log/client.log failed
Running EMS/STM B.11.31.05.06 and WBEM Services A.02.09
This is also a HPSIM managed node and Im using non-root user account for cim processes (for WBEM subscriptions (cimserver). Is it because this account does not have permissions to this log??

I dont understand your question but when I modified the credentials for this unix node in SIM I used a non-root user account which I have used on my other 11.23 nodes with no problem.
I may delete the node from SIM again and re-add it using root in the credentials..see what happens.

This error is most likely from a old version of the WBEM FCprovider. Check that you have at least version .0909 installed.

The newest version can be found here:
https://h20392.www2.hp.com/portal/swdepot/displayProductInfo.do?productNumber=FCPROVIDER01

What is the complete message in syslog.log ?

Does the rm_log_init message you encountered contains "Permission
denied" ? If so, the workaround is to specify root user when
configuring the WBEM subscriptions on a HP SIM managed node.
Only root user can write to client.log whose file permission is
644 (ownership is root:sys).

Does your rm_log_init message contains "Too many open files" ?
The latest WBEM FC Provider fixes this problem described below:
http://docs.hp.com/en/5900-0170/ch01s06.html

NOTE: HPUXFCIndicationProviderModule contains
HPUXFCHBAIndicationProvider which is one of EMS Wrapper providers
as of today and an EMS client.
