I have applied the SIM version from the IC dvd released in October 2012. My version as seen from the SIM console now looks like this:

Should the version now not be 7.1.2 ?

the version is not updated. Instead you need to look onto the last hotfix applied in your case it is : HOTFIX71_027.jar

So the version is HPSIM 7.1.02 or 7.1.2 or 7.1 Update 2
