Hi at all,

I should monitor msa storage p2000 g3 with HP insight manager 6.2 (for stirage or power supply failure).

- I configure snmp trap on msa p2000

- I discover msa p2000 on SIM

Must I make another operation for work with failure hardware?

On the "storage managment utility" I have only set comunity trap and IP of HP insight mananer.

Must I install other software? Where Can I install agent, on whic machine?

You don't need any "agents", but integrating P2000 into SIM is a bit tricky. You must add WBEM protocol at least (so, using username and password).

Ok but Where I must add wbem protocol?

My P2000 is connected by scsi on two proliant dl 360 G7 with esxi 5.0.

Could I install wbem on vcenter (virtual machine win 2008 r2)?

No, you don't need to install any software anywhere. Just use p2000 admin's login and password during discovery process.

If you don't have WBEM enabled, simply navigate to options>protocol settings>global protocol settings and check 'Enable WBEM'. Run a discovery for your MSA, making sure to enter the username and password in the discovery credentials.

If you have already discovered the MSA, you can select it, and set the username and password in system credentials.

I have already disovered by wbem some esxi 5 node.

After discover msa storage I try to unplug power supply or disk for verify that I receive wbem trap.
