HP SIM 7.1 setup not starting

Hello,

I have a windows 2012 hyper-v server and preinstalled the following services are allready running (look at the attachtement). I hit the F10 during bios boot and put the dvd of windows 2012 hyper-v in it and it installed allmost everything. The HP SIM is missing but i wanna install it. So i downloaded it from the HP website but when hitting the setup.exe in the folder D:\hp\SIM7100-win\hpsim\win>setup.exe nothing happends. I tried also setup.exe -s "silent.xml" with the right parameters but nothing happends no Log at all.

The HP Management website on port 2381 is working correctly but HP SIM is not installed i think because nothing happends when i try on port 50000. I need to configure email alerts when raid controller fails.

We have the exact same problem here. Backing up on supportrequest/solution from HP.

e-ss12 - I'm not sure if i understood your question correctly but "HP SIM 7.1" installation is not supported on Windows Server 2012

Though you can manage (monitor) Windows Server 2012 with "HP SIM 7.1"
