Not able to add VM to hp sim

Hi,
I am having a hp sim 6.2. When trying to discover a virtual machine it is giving the following error message.

"The system cannot be identified properly for HP SIM to manage; unable to get one or more of the following: model, serial number or unique identifier (UUID)".

The virtual machine which I am trying to add is a virtual center server. It is running with windows server 2008 r2.

Any suggestions will be much appreciated.

Hi,

It's normal, there are not model,serial number on a VM guest.
This information are only on the Host VM, no on the guest.
When you make a guest VM discovery, HPSIM attachs the VM to the Host and gives some information about the OS type.
HPSIM manage the VM guest only if you install the VMM but this module must be used with a licence.
