If you really work with ESX (not ESXi) do not forget to add an additional text to the OS NAME like VMware ESX Server after the system is discovered by SIM. And take care about the performance SIM is polling every 5 minutes all the managed system.

Guys,

I am working on istalling HP SIM on a VM machine on ESX VMWARE. We will want HP SIM and webes to ONLY be monitoring HP Prolient physical systems. Is this possible are there any changes that I need to make to the ESX host? If so please let me know how or what I need.. Thank you!
