HPSIM 7.2 with SNMPV3

I have a SNMPV3 (only) device that i want to manage in HPSIM.

When you want to configure Options/ManageSystemTypes/<Retrieve from System> there is only the option:

community string=<> , and for as i know community string is not used in SNMPV3 devices. Leave it blanc is not a solution:

it can not communicate. Howdo I solve that ??

Hi,

So in this case by default HP SIM v7.2 supports SNMPv3, so do we need to reconfigure the whole server SNMP agent in each physical server to use SNMPv3 instead ?

You only need to reconfigure the SNMP agents if you want to switch them to SNMPv3.

You can still use SNMP v1/v2.
