Options -> Discovery -> Automatic Discovery
Under the Discovery Configuration, uncheck the Discovery Filters box, also check that you have the correct IP Address ranges for your environment, hit the SAVE and RUN button.
I just installed HP sim 4.1 and started the configuration. When I click on 'All Systems' it does not see the management server. When I go to add it manually, SIM reports that it knows about that server.
How do you see the management server under the 'all systems' view?

Are you seeing any other Servers?
How about any that are just showing IP Addresses?
On the Discovery Page, uncheck the Filters and see if the device turns up as Unmanaged. If so, check the SNMP Settings are correct

Are you seeing any other Servers? Yes, I was able to manually add another server, and I see it in the all systems view.

How about any that are just showing IP Addresses? I have only added just the one node. That is all I see.

On the Discovery Page, uncheck the Filters and see if the device turns up as Unmanaged. If so, check the SNMP Settings are correct. I am not sure about the discovery page. Can you tell me how to get there? Is it the Automatic Discovery?

I just took the filer off and checked the subnet setting and it was correct. It discovered about 50 clients, but the CMS still does not show up under the 'All Systems view' :(.

check your authorizations. The user must be authorized to view the CMS which is separate from the authorizations to view all systems.
