Hello Christian,

First install a fresh SIM server and configure a server to have a certificate for the old and the new server.
Now you have a server that has a trust to both SIM server use the old SIM server to replicate your settings like the second trust, vca settings, baseline(s) and any other setting that you can set on the System management Homepage.
If you have more that one baseline set a second server with both Trusts.

When the new server works as intended you can replicate a sample server with the one new trust to cleanout the old trust.

Don't forget to set wbem subscriptions.......

Kind regards,

Andrew

Hi,

I am looking to migrate my servers to a new instance of HP SIM on a new server.

I am currently running Systems Insight Manager 6.3, but would like to install the latest version (7?) on a new server, and update the agents on my HP servers to point to the new SIM server.

Are there any methods of migrating servers to a new SIM server?

Regards,
Christian
