IE 11 and HPSIM 7.3 - not a DNS issue

I just changed over to my new HPSIM server, using our current production IP address. When I used the name, it does not work, use the IP and it works. It is a setting in IE 11 but I do not know what it could be. Firefox works fine.

Any help is greatly apprecieated.

hi,

for your information:

this is a IE 11 behaviour (chrome also behaves like this)!

if you try to connect to a DNS name it tries to connect to the default search provider page to search for that string.

you can edit a setting somewhere that it allows to try searching DNS names / aliases firts before it goes to the search page (but this could minimally decrease performance thats why its per default disabled).

if you once visited the website by its name it should remember that.
