SIM 7.3 Connection with oracle db issues

Hi ,

I'm having an issue with SIM connecting it to the Oracle db, i've installed oracle jdbc drivers without issues and also performed mxoracleconfig without issues. The stange issue that im having is that when i do mxgetdbinfo i'm having the following errors :

[root@HP-SIM logs]# mxgetdbinfo

Database Connection failed - Check whether Database server is Up and Running.

Connection to db seems to be fine as i've continue the config using mxinitconfig -a and the schema now has been populated with tables . However the process fails with the following shown in initlogs :

15. Initialization and Database Population

HP Systems Insight Manager Initialization Starts at: Saturday, May 3, 2014 11:49:25 PM CEST
ERROR - Cannot start HP Systems Insight Manager service.
Possible cause: HP Systems Insight Manager service is not properly installed.
Resolution: Make sure HP Systems Insight Manager service is correctly installed, restart HP Systems Insight Manager then run mxinitconfig again.
Details can be found in the log files at: /var/opt/mx/logs

Exception :Configuration failed to complete due to the following exception:
