Hello,

I've given a switch SSH credentials before and have not seen any advantage to a switch having credentials in SIM compareerden to a switch that does not have credentials. The traps are and this events are to my opinion the only reason i have to add them to SIM. If someone had gotten anything more and i've missen something please give additionele information here...

SIM 7.4 says ssh does not work to a ProCurve 2910. I have given it appropiate credentails. I can ssh to the switch from the SIM server. I think SIM might be having a problem because the switch prompts you to hit any key after entering the password. Is there someway to avoid this?

That seems reasonable. I just wasn't sure what information SIM could get through ssh as opposed to snmp. I'll just disable ssh for my two ProCurve switches.

Thanks!
