HPSIM repeatable alerts

I have insight manager setup and all works well, my only issue is with the alerts. I get alerts with no problem, however I cannot figure out how to set tham up as repeatable, they only come through for status change.

basically, the task for "Hardware Status" will report when a server is unreachable one time...I would like to get those alerts until the server is reachable.

Are repeatable alerts configurable? If so, where?

Hello,

To be short for unreachable events.... NO.

For events regarding errors like broken disks, if the agent or server is restarted you will get repeat events if the error this exists.

If you want that kind of alerts you should install an other kind of monitoring like Nagios. HP SIM is a hardware monitoring tool nothing more. To be more specific a HP hardware monitoring tool that can be modified to monitor other hardware if you have the MIB files.
