Hello.

I need to monitor a some hp servers. What is the better way to do this? Do i need to discover system through iLo IP, or an OS ip with snmp?

Please explain me what the difference between these options.

Hi @n0kia what about if the servers are mixed generations from G4 up to G7 ?

How can I setup HP-SIM automatically to alert me on that ?

Hello,

You would need HP Insight Management Agents / WBEM Agents for SIM to monitor and discover the host and not the iLO for g7 and below.
