How would you correct this problem on RedHat enterprise 3? HPSIM picks up other managed devices, but not the CMS server itself! It is detected as unmanaged!

We have just implemented System Insight Manager in our environment. After completed a full inventory of our servers, I have noticed that many are labeled as UNKNOWN or UNMANAGED. What is the best method for configuring these systems so that they can be managed?

On the systems that are identified as Unknown, make sure that either WBEM or SNMP or DMI or SSH is configured and then run identification task on those system(s) again. Though the easiest way is installing management agents on those systems.

The Unmanaged system type means that they have either of the management protocols but failed to meet HPSIM's identification rules.
