Error loading Insight Manager

I'm recieving a Java(TM)Plug-in 1.4 fatal error(1.3.1_01 cannot be located) when attempting to open Insight manager. Have tried uninstalling JRE then reinstalling from the Insight Manager installation.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Are you using Insight Manager 7 or HP Systems Insight Manager? Have you re-booted between un-install and re-install?

Thanks for the response. Insight Manager 7 and yes I have been rebooting every time. The exact error in full is 'Java Plug-in 1.3.1_01 cannot be located because values in the registry key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINES\SOFTWARE\JavaSoft\Java Plug-in\1.3.1_01 is not found or is no longer valid. A print screen is attached.

Yet the browser says a different plugin has not been isnstalled.

'Insight Manager 7 - Plug-in Not Installed

The JavaTM Plug-in Version 1.3.1_09 has not been installed. Please close the browser and restart the browser, following the installation directions to install the plug-in. You may need administrative rights on this machine to be able install the plugin.'

Hello,

One of the HP experts(Joel Rubenstein) guide me to fix this issue.

download the fix from
http://h18013.www1.hp.com/products/servers/management/hpsim/download.html

name: Â» HP Systems Insight Manager 4.1 SP1 - Windows Critical Update (for MS04-025)

then run install.bat

and also untick java at:-
Tools->internet_Options->Advance
