Anyone know why running a report of novell servers against type of CPU, doesn't have adata listed.

Does HPSIM have problems with Novell servers, this information can be drilled into via the CMS so why doesn't it have this information when using the reporting tool?

Ta

Annette,
I too have the same problem and posted here. Basically if your agents are 4.9 or less (really old) then the cpu info works - I tested this by downgrading 5.3 agents to 4.9. I was told to contact technical support on this issue. I haven't done this yet. But I will try to let you know what I find out when I do.
Thanks,
Jen

Annette,
HP has replicated the type CPU issue. Here's the email I received:

Jennifer,

Both I and a colleague were able to reproduce the behavior you reported.
Being that the data is valid in the MIB's and valid in the SIM dB, it
appears that the problem lies within the query that is defined for
Netware server, respective to this report. We now have the SW developers
looking into it and I hope to have some additional updates for you soon.

Best Regards,

Jim

So hopefully they will be able to fix this soon.

Jen

Update on this issue:
I was notified in January, I think, that this issue will be resolved using the 7.3 agents. I believe the 7.2 agents were just released, so we will need to wait to see if this is fixed in the 7.3 agents.

Thanks,
Jen

Update:

Well, I have been on leave for 3 months and when I got back, some of our NetWare servers were upgraded to the 7.3 agents. But alas, the NetWare cpu info still doesn't show up in the reports. Anyone else see this? I am going to email HP to inquiry about this.

Thanks,
Jen

I have the same issue. I actually built a custom servers database that pulls in inventory information from SIM so that I can link it with our own custom tables. It is very frustrating to not have the CPU data available for our Netware boxes.

I believe you are correct - SP 7.3 does NOT fix this problem.

Please post if HP responds back to you with an update - I would love to have this fixed.

Nelson
