Client PC's showing as Servers!

Hi,

This morning my HP SIM decided to identify several HP client PC's as Servers, which then triggered our alerting system when they were switched off!

I have deleted them now but why did SIM detect them as servers and show them in the 'All Servers' view?

Have you added any devices under the Manage System Types Section? Perhaps one has been adde that mis-identifies a device on too loose a description.

Otherwise, you may want to indicate what make and model has caused the issue. What was the description in the Product Name?

Hi,

I havent added any device descriptions manually. The stray machines seem to be running the HP manageability agents which we dont have on most PC's.

The 'Product Name' of the device clearly showed as an Evo 510 Workstation yet it was classified as 'Server' under System Type!
