I currently have devices on the network that do not respond to SNMP, DMI, or HTTP. So every day when HP SIM does the "Daily Device Identification" the servers event logs contain the error "DCOM was unable to communicate with the computer *IP ADDRESS* using any of the configured protocols."

If you select the device, go to OPTIONS, PROTOCAL SETTINGS, SYSTEM PROTOCAL SETTINGS, click NEXT, you can specify settings for the different protocals, but I see no option to turn off specific protocals.

So can you change which protocals HP SIM uses to do hardware identification and polling for a single device, and if so how?
