i have the repository device installed on
SIM manage server. the trust relationship
can you change on installation version control agent or managment homepage->settings->options. The three variants are
trust all / by name / by certificate.
If you use by name, need full name with domain (server1.europe.internal) in version control agent settings.
If you use certificate, export certificate from SIM under options->security->certificates->server certificate->export.
Save the servercert.cer file. Open the file
with editor, mark all and copy with ctrl-c.
On target system open managment homepage->settings->options use trust by certificate,
paste certificate in assigned field and save
all.
After this was VCA functional successful.

I hope this help you.
I have installed HP SIM on a server. I am trying to do the Initial Proliant Support Pack install. I choose my target system, enter username/password/domain, click Next and get the following error message:

Error retrieving catalog. Be sure a trust relationship is established with the repository device.

I thought the repository was automatically installed on the machine that I installed SIM in??

I realise that I am obviously doing something wrong, but I must say this is the most annoyingly frustrating piece of software I have ever come across. I have had it installed for about 3 days now, and the only meaningful thing that I have managed to get it to do is a network discovery......!
