If you're talking about manual changes to the SQL Database then you'll be on your own as regards dealing with any HPSIM Issues. It is not a supported solution.

What are you trying to achieve?

Hi,

I need to add a field containing the warrenty number that was gave to the server by the HP local distributer.
So if I need to make a service call i'll know the servers warrenty number from the SIM 4.1.

Thanks in advance,
Roni Assa.
roni.assa@leumi-card.co.il
There is a free-form field called "server role" in the agents. That would be the best place to add this kind of data.

Not supported and very well could break the application. Best is to put your data in the free-form Server Role field.

I've said this before, but I'll say it again. HP NEEDS to add this function to SIM. Dell has added a lot of asset management fields to their SIM equivalent. We want to be able to track some simple things like purchase date, warranty details, and other custom information. Using the "Server Role" field is not an acceptable solution for tracking this kind of information. This IS just a database. All that is required is adding some rows to the DB and minor changes to the UI in order to enter that data. Please, hear us out devs! (and please, nobody reply saying â buy a dellâ or â buy ope
