HP NEEDS to add this function to SIM. Dell has added a lot of asset management fields to their SIM equivalent. We want to be able to track some simple things like purchase date, warranty details, and other custom information. Using the "Server Role" field is not an acceptable solution for tracking this kind of information. This IS just a database. All that is required is adding some rows to the DB and minor changes to the UI in order to enter that data. Please, hear us out devs!
