    <description>have you tried the following ? &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Connect via terminal session and start SIM locally on the server.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Then it should be fastest possible. This is also my standard way to access the SIM. &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;If this is fast it is the client. What kind of java do you use an the client side ? maybe this is also an issue.</description>

      <description>I am running HPSIM 4.1 on a Dell Poweredge 2650 server with 4 processors and 2 GB memory and W2K server with Java version 1.4.1, yet the performance I get from it is very very slow.&lt;BR /&gt;Is there anything I can do to speed it up?</description>

      <description>what kind of database you are using ?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I figure out that with MSDBE it ist really slow, but with a SQL 2000 it has improved a lot.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Maybe that also your situation</description>

      <description>Is it possible that you might be having network issues between your client and SIM?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Sorry if this sounds overly-simplistic, but I just want to eliminate the obvious.</description>
