I get this error when I enable automatic download.

Invalid HTTP status 407 trying to read file remote file ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software2/COL3293/catalog.xml.
Error downloading remote file ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software2/COL3293/catalog.xml to local file C:\WINNT\TEMP\wh11.tmp.

How do I fix this?

Check your proxy settings in the VCRM.

when i put the ftp site in a browser the page comes up fine. So the proxy settings are correct.

The VCRM has it's own proxy setting. It does not use the proxy configured in your browser.

Copied the browser proxy settings into VCRM and also had to put my domain login and password, then it downloaded successfully.
