Installing HP SIm 4.1

Have downloaded HPSim 4.1 to install on a fresh install off 2000 Advanced server with SP3 installed.
On double clicking the downloaded application, the initial script runs and performs the menu option. I slect option 4 to install 4.1N with Sp1 . Pre_installation step is DONE and the Installation status is "Not Run" . I am only given the option to FINISH.
After readin the install document despite what the download manager says, it talks about SP4 being needed. So I have installed Sp4 on the server and re-started the install.
Same results.
How do I install the software ..

What version of IE is installed on the server. That error typically occurs with older versions of IE.

I have same problem on windows2000 std sp4. IE istalled by default as 5.0. Will check installing new IE.

Don't worry about the "Not Run" status. This will be updated to "Done" only if Insight Manager 7 was found prior to HPSIM 4.1 installation and DMT for IM7 was run during the pre-installation phase.

In your case you are doing a fresh installation and it is obviously right to get the status as "Not Run".

I've installed IE6 sp1. Now installation process runs fine! Thank you very much.

Upgraded IE to 5 and all works fine. Thanks again.
