Koen,

If you browse to HP Systems Insight Manager 4.1 and get the error, click on "Ok" on the error dialog. Now HPSIM 4.1 will prompt you to "Install JPI" (JRE 1.4.1). So proceed with the installation and then close the browser and reopen it and then try logging in to HP SIM 4.1. This should work.

Java error

since a few days, I cannot longer connect to my HP Insight Mgr 7 because of a Java problem:
Java Plug-in 1.3.1_01 cannot be located becasue values in the registry key
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\JavaSoft\Java Plug-in1.3.1_01 is not found or is no longer valid
I tried to connect from different PC's, the same error. The most bizar is, I have already installed a HP Systems Insight Manager, on another server (to check it out), when I connect to this one I get the same error. I suspect that a MS security patch is blocking me.

Koen,
My guess is yo no longer have a valid 1.3 JRE (which CIM 7 needs) or you have a 1.4 JRE associated with the browser.
