Thanks for all your help, Joel.

It looks like we might have some DNS issues here at my company. Looks like that's my problem!

PMP Licensing - HTTP Error

When I try to go to the PMP Licensing link from the Options --> PMP Options --> Licensing link, I get an error that says the page can't be found (standard IE error). It's as if the server isn't running.

However, I can do everything else in the Insight Manager that isn't related to PMP. All of my HP SIM "stuff" is running on the same server. What's the deal? Is there a service that needs restarted? What could have caused this? I am not aware of any changes to that server.

Thanks very much in advance,

Francis

Francis,

Yes the HP Performance Management Pack Service must be running.

Try to access the PMP licensing page directly

https://simserver:2381/pmp/licensehome.htm

Odd, that link works, but the links from the menu do not.

I often think I have evil gnomes running around in my computers.

Why on Earth would this be happening?

I have a similair problem because my internal test network DNS names are unknown to the company DNS servers and for some reason the PMP pages are not initiated using the "system link" configuration like the rest of the pages seem to be. I can only get the PMP pages to come up by connecting to the SIM server via terminal services or VNC and running SIM locally. You might try that.
