Multiple emails sent from past cleared events.

We have an automatic event handling task set up to report on the status of a group of servers. Whenever one of these servers is downed SIM mails all cleared events for the server in question resulting in a barrage of mails. We are running SIM 4.1 and I've noticed a similar posting but with no answers. Can anyone help?

I had the same problem and extracted the file and followed the instructions, yet I am still getting a barrage of old events every once in a while?

I am also having the same issue and the patch does NOT fix the issue...This makes the product practically unusable. I get 100+ messages at a time from a single server. Come on HP come out with a real fix for this!

Another potential source of the problem is if any of the managed nodes are running 6.4 or earlier Insight Agents. These agents have been known to randomly resend old alerts.
